Downtown Whitby to and from Pearson Airport

Estimated time 50-60 minutes
Distance 68 km
Flat rate $110 CAD
Brock Road interchange Dundas Street Whitby GO Station Highway 401 Highway 427

If you live near Brock and Dundas, the Whitby GO Station on Victoria Street, or anywhere in central Whitby, Pearson Airport is about an hour away by car. The flat rate for this zone is $110 CAD — same price to the airport or home from the airport, at any hour.

Your driver picks you up and takes Brock Road south to the Highway 401 on-ramp. From there it is a straight westbound run through Ajax, Pickering, and into Toronto. The highway crosses the Rouge River, passes through Scarborough and North York, and the driver exits at the 427 southbound interchange, which drops directly to the Terminal 1 and Terminal 3 departure ramps.

The stretch of 401 between Brock Road and the DVP gets heavy on weekday afternoons. When that happens, your driver heads north instead — Taunton Road to Highway 412, then west on the 407 ETR toll road. The 407 runs above Toronto through Markham and Vaughan with no traffic lights and very little congestion, connecting to Pearson from the north side via the 427 or the 409. Any tolls are included in the flat rate.

Coming home from Pearson, your driver is at the terminal before you land. In Terminal 1 they wait at the Ground Level inner curb near the P1 through P5 pillars. In Terminal 3 they are at the outer curb near Pillars C through E. You get a name board and an hour of wait time from touchdown — no charge, no rebooking if your flight runs late.

Frequently asked questions

What is the flat rate from downtown Whitby to Pearson?

$110 CAD covers any address in central Whitby — the Brock and Dundas area, streets near Whitby GO Station, and every residential neighbourhood between Thickson Road and Garden Street. Same rate applies coming home from Pearson. HST and highway tolls are built into the price.

Which highway does the driver take from Whitby to Pearson?

Normally the 401 westbound from the Brock Road on-ramp, exiting at the 427 south to the terminals. If the 401 is slow — common on weekday afternoons between Brock Road and the DVP — the driver goes north to the 407 ETR via Highway 412 instead. Both routes end at the same Pearson terminal ramps, and the flat rate covers either corridor.

When should I get picked up for a morning flight from Whitby?

For a 7 AM domestic departure, most downtown Whitby customers book a 4:15 AM to 4:30 AM pickup. That gives an hour of travel plus about 90 minutes at the airport for check-in and security. International flights need more terminal time — book 30 to 45 minutes earlier. Traffic is rarely a factor before 6 AM on this corridor.
